LET’S DISCUSS THE

FACTS:

—YOUR HEALTH IS ABSOLUTELY

PRICELESS

A functioning body is required to do a lot of things in life. Often times we don’t realize how valuable our health is until we are physically ill. If you’ve ever been under the weather before, then you know life can come to an unexpected halt. Your family, friends, finances, etc. are all impacted when you aren’t well. With our health being as valuable as it is, we must learn to take care of it. Tangible valuables such as new cars and luxurious watches are taken with great care because of how expensive they are. So why should we treat something as priceless as our health any different?

—HEALTH iS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT

PLANNING

If you want to be healthy, you’ve got to effectively plan. Benjamin Franklin once said, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail,” and I couldn’t agree more. Without a plan, our natural instinct is to reach for quick and easy foods—which most times tend to be processed and/or fast foods. However, with a proper plan in place, you are much more likely to choose healthier options. The bottom line is this: being healthy doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intentionality. The reason why my business exists is to help you intentionally prioritize your health while saving you time on planning and prepping your meals.

      WHY  VEGAN?

I specialize in building vegan meal plans only. This is a major shift in my business from when I started. Keep scrolling to find the evidence behind veganism. Soon enough, you too will understand why eating a plant-based vegan diet is the only answer to the health crisis in our nation.

EGGS

My decision to go vegan was highly influenced by a documentary called “What The Health.” The evidence they showed against eggs is mind-blowing. For years up to that point I heard the importance of eating eggs, how healthy they were, and was even recommended by my doctor to eat them. I was shocked to find out the omelette’s I occasionally enjoyed contained exceedingly large amounts of saturated fat and cholesterol. So much so that the U.S. Department of Agriculture warned the egg industry in 2007 against false and misleading advertising to the public by calling eggs “nutritious” or “safe”. The DOA said themselves that eggs aren’t even safe to eat. So why do we still eat them? The documentary even stated, “EATING 1 EGG PER DAY IS JUST AS BAD AS SMOKING 5 CIGARETTES PER DAY FOR LIFE EXPECTANCY.” I guess we can ask the millions of victims of high cholesterol and clogged arteries in grave yards if eating eggs was worth their life.

MEAT

Eating regular servings of chicken, red meat and deli meat (just to name a few), increase the amount of saturated fat and cholesterol in the body. Just like eggs. Although the liver naturally produces cholesterol in moderation for cell function, high levels of cholesterol from food consumption develops fatty deposits in the blood vessels. Fat build up in the blood vessels and arteries then limits blood flow to the most important parts of the body: the heart and the brain. LIMITED BLOOD FLOW AND BLOCKED ARTERIES LEAD TO TWO TRAGIC HEALTH CONDITIONS: HEART ATTACK AND STROKE. Not to mention, the high levels of salt in processed meats (to increase shelf-life) can easily increase blood pressure. Among these things, processed meats are known to be carcinogens due to their production of cancer-causing chemicals when cooked at high temperatures. It’s safe to say the bad outweighs the good when it comes to eating meat.

DAIRY

I know your taste buds may love dairy, but according to Harvard nutrition research, the top source of saturated fat is dairy. Saturated fat is known to rise cholesterol levels and increase risk of heart attack and stroke. Similar to eggs and meat huh? Not only that, but the documentary even stated, THE STRATEGY OF THE MEAT, DAIRY & EGG INDUSTRY IS TO CONFUSE THE PUBLIC, TO INTRODUCE DOUBT NOT UNLIKE THE TOBACCO INDUSTRY.” No wonder why there’s so much conflicting information out there. How many nutrition charts did you see in elementary school encouraging the consumption of dairy? Too many to count in my experience. The existing information out there is outdated and in desperate need of re-evaluation. While changing the way school systems feed children may take years, my first step in the door is to show YOU how eating a plant based vegan diet will change your life forever.

I have done tons of research over the past four years. All of the facts I’ve found and studies I’ve studied are what has built my belief in veganism. As much as I want to share my beliefs and convictions with you, I know that if you’re truly going to stick with a plant-based diet in the long run, or anything for that matter, you need to believe in and experience it yourself. So, I put together a list for you that notes all the articles and books I’ve read about veganism and it’s benefits.
